（和文概要）

森林の動態が、資源政策や木材加工企業の原料調達、農山村における土地利用に及ぼす影響について、研究を行っています。日本国内では、国産材自給率が回復する2010年代以降、合板産業が輸入製品との競合の中で国産材に原料転換していった過程、要因、課題について、国内外の政策、企業戦略、原料供給という視点から分析しています。東南アジアでは、熱帯地域としては例外的に森林増加が見られるベトナムを対象としています。ベトナム政府はこれまで、広大な面積での植林政策、天然林伐採禁止、そして一部の国からの丸太輸入禁止の政策を打ち出してきました。このことが、植林政策によって増加した人工林材利用へのシフトを引き起こしますが、供給不足へとつながります。この研究では、木材生産にかかわるステークホルダーへの政策の影響を調査し、持続可能な木材生産に向けた課題の抽出とその解決策の提示を目的としています。

（英文概要）

The impacts of forest transition on resource policies, raw material procurement of timber processing industry, and land use in rural area are researched. As a domestic (Japanese) topic, after 2010s that the time of recover for domestic timber self-supply rate, how changed raw materials to domestic timber and what is the factors and challenges in plywood industry are analyzed from the viewpoints of domestic and foreign policies, enterprise strategies, and raw material supply. Another topic in South-east Asia, Vietnam, where exceptionally forest area increasing in tropical countries, is targeted. The Vietnamese government implemented plantation forest policies, timber harvest ban in natural forest, and a partial import ban of timber. These policies made shift to plantation forest timber increased by plantation forest polices, however, as a result, plantation forest timber became insufficient supply. This research clarifies impact of policies on stakeholders in timber products and aims to extract challenges for sustainable timber production and to state solutions.
